Ready to get outside? Montclair State University's Outdoor Adventure program is your ticket to exploring the natural beauty and excitement of New Jersey and the surrounding areas.
Trips and Experiences
We offer a variety of fun, guided and challenging trips designed for students of all experience levels all year long including:
- Hiking
- Canoeing and kayaking
- Camping
- Biking
- Seasonal experiences and local excursions
What to Know
- Spots are limited and may fill quickly!
- Waitlists are available for full trips
- Payment is only required if you participate
- Transportation is usually provided from the Student Recreation Center

Each trip may vary, but common items to bring with you include:

- Comfortable clothing
- Closed-toe shoes or boots
- Weather-appropriate layers
- Sunscreen and bug spray

We offers equipment lending options so you can explore without the cost including camping gear, backpacks, outdoor games and more!
