Aquatics

Swim, train and take part in aquatics programs, including fun events, swim lessons and safety-focused offerings for all experience levels.

Play Intramural Sports

Intramural sports offer students a fun and engaging way to stay active, connect with peers, and enjoy friendly competition outside the classroom. With organized leagues and tournaments available throughout the year, students of all skill levels can get involved, build teamwork skills, and be part of a vibrant campus community.

Represent Montclair State University through competitive club teams that practice, travel and compete against other colleges and universities. We have a ton of different sports and opportunities available and are always looking for new students to try out!

Outdoor Adventure

Get off campus and try something new with trips like hiking, camping, canoeing and more. Our Outdoor Adventure Program provides opportunities for students to travel and immerse themselves in nature and learning something along the way, too!

Special Events & Rec Nights

Come connect with others through events hosted all semester long. We host regular fire pits where you can make s'mores, offer weekly low key hangouts with crafts or food in our lounge and plan bigger events and celebrations.

In addition to all of our programs, we also have a ton of services available for your convenience. We are also proud to showcase our state of the art facility with two floors, a full-size indoor pool. elevated track and more!

Free Equipment Lending

Borrow recreation equipment for free with your University ID to use while you are visiting the Student Recreation Center or to check out for a few days! We have a variety of packages to chose from, or you can make your own!

From a basketball to use in the gym, to beach chair to check out for the weekend we have options.

The Rec Store

Did you know we have our very own store? We have affordable apparel, athletic items and personal care products for purchase! 

The Rec Store can also be found in our lounge area at Equipment Checkout.

Memberships & Guest Passes

Learn who can use the facility, explore membership options and get details on accessing our spaces.

  • Do you have a friend visiting? Bring them by, you just need to purchase a guest pass!
  • Faculty and staff can purchase a membership and utilize payroll deduction.
