Information Technology Division
Montclair State University’s Division of Information Technology is responsible for all enterprise information technologies across campus including: Enterprise Technology Services (ETS), Enterprise Application Services (EAS), Technical Support Services (TSS) and Information Security. The Division of Information Technology works closely with college/school/division technology coordinators and resources to optimize selection, deployment and integration of enterprise and local technologies to meet campus-wide information and processing needs.

Enterprise Technology Services
Enterprise Technology Services provides a reliable, functional and high-performance technology infrastructure encompassing network, telecommunication, computer, storage and information security in support of the University’s commitment to education, research and public service.
Enterprise Application Services
The Enterprise Application Services – EAS group is responsible for the design, development, implementation, operation and production support services for Montclair State University enterprise applications. Working closely with the University campus business and academic offices EAS is committed to providing reliable services and constantly improve campus community application technology experience. EAS provides support and maintains a large portfolio of applications that include the Student Information System, Human Resources and Financial System, the University Portal, the Identity and Access Management system and variety of custom developed applications. We are responsible for the application integration services between the applications on campus and the ones external to the University as well as database support and data reporting and administration.
Technical Support Services
Technical Support Services (TSS) mission is to increase the level of technical support for all customer-facing technologies and to maintain our strategic commitment to infuse technology into teaching, learning and administrative processes; to provide exceptional care when it comes to resolving issues via a multitude of technologies; to configure, manage and safeguard all computing devices provided by the University; to allow for industry standard computing devices to be provided to Faculty and Staff to ensure that we continue to provide state of the art technologies in our mediated classrooms, labs and conference rooms; To allow for students to utilize computing labs and laptops in order for them to be prepared for their coursework and future positions. Technical Support Services is made up of several key areas: Application Support for Workday and Student, the IT Service Desk, Endpoint Engineering, Public, Teaching and Specialty Computer Labs and Audio-Visual (AV) Services.
Information Security
Information Security aims to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of electronic information. We strive to do this by continually evaluating the landscape of cyber security threats, implementing technology best practices, and upholding privacy obligations while aligning with Montclair State University’s educational and research objectives.
Project Management Office
The Program Management Office (PMO) is charged with applying repeatable, consistent and proven project and portfolio management frameworks to ensure due diligence in project planning, selection and execution in order to help Montclair State University achieve its mission and strategic objectives.
