Information Security

If you believe your password has been stolen, your account is currently sending spam, or your machine is experiencing active ransomware, do not use the standard ticketing form. Call the Incident Hotline immediately at 973-655-7971, Option 1 or email the IT Service Desk at itservicedesk@montclair.edu.

When you report an incident or phishing attempt, our security team triages the alert within 30 minutes to 1 hour. You will receive a confirmation ticket. We will never ask you for your password, multifactor codes, or demand payment to restore your account.

Need assistance with your account or multifactor authentication? Go to Accounts & Access (NetID).

Security is a team effort. If you think you made a mistake or clicked a suspicious link, report it immediately. Early reporting protects the entire university network, and our team is here to help you recover, not to punish you.
