NEST (Network Engagement and Student/Staff Transactions) is the primary web front-end gateway for students, faculty, and staff at Montclair State University. It streamlines administrative processes by providing self-service tools and single sign-on (SSO) "one-click" access to core applications like Self-Service Banner (SSB), Degree Works, Canvas, and TouchNet.

For Students

Students can manage their academic and financial life directly through the portal:

  • Academics: Register for classes, view the course catalog/schedule, and track degree progress via Degree Works.
  • Financials: View tuition statements, pay bills, enroll in payment plans, pay housing or new student deposits, and set up direct deposit for refunds.
  • Financial Aid: Review aid information, view checklists, and accept financial aid awards.
  • Profile Management: Update personal/emergency contact information and view campus events.
