The Conference Center at Montclair State University offers a stunning setting for events of every kind. An experienced, on-site catering team can arrange everything from light refreshments to formal sit-down dinners, while state-of-the-art audiovisual technology and dedicated AV support ensure every presentation, conference and celebration runs seamlessly from start to finish.

As one of the nation’s leading models of inclusive early childhood education for children from birth through age 5, the Ben Samuels Children’s Center fosters a warm, welcoming environment where all children learn, play and grow together. Children of all abilities, backgrounds and needs are supported through engaging, developmentally-appropriate experiences and services, while families are provided with the guidance, resources and encouragement they need to help their children thrive.

Reflecting the University’s commitment to creating meaningful community impact, the Center for Clinical Services offers accessible, affordable clinical care and family support services to the public. The University Libraries – Sprague Library and Bloomfield College Library – are not just open to students, faculty and staff, we also welcome members of our neighboring communities. The Test Center provides academic and professional examinations for our students, students from other institutions and members of the public. Its state-of-the-art facility and certified staff create a supportive testing environment that follows National College Testing Association professional standards and helps test takers advance their academic and career goals.

A vibrant cultural and artistic hub for music, dance and theater, the Alexander Kasser Theater brings the community to life with dynamic student productions and the acclaimed professional productions of Peak Performances. Beyond attending unforgettable shows, community members are invited to take center stage by renting the theater for their own live events and productions.

Memorial Auditorium is a multipurpose theater that serves the University and the surrounding community. Student groups, community organizations and national companies have held dance and dramatic productions, musicals, movies, concerts, symphony orchestras, comedy shows, lectures and town hall meetings here. Inquiries from those who are planning an event and looking for a venue that can accommodate up to 1,000 audience members are welcome!

The Montclair State University Amphitheater, located next to the Alexander Kasser Theater, is a 2,000-seat refurbished outdoor facility originally constructed in 1940. A natural open space with 30 rows of steps, the stone structure is a historic icon familiar to generations of alumni and community members. A versatile space, the Amphitheater is available for classes, performances, festivals, outdoor movies and other special events.

The Montclair State University Galleries fosters curiosity, dialogue and connection through diverse and inclusive exhibitions and programs. Admission to all Galleries spaces – including the George Segal Gallery, Alexander Kasser Theater Display Cases, and public outdoor sculptures across campus – is free and open to the public. The Galleries welcome visitors of all ages and offer free group visits for schools, senior and adult groups, nonprofit organizations, corporate groups and other community organizations.

The Charles J. Muth Museum of Hinchliffe Stadium preserves and shares the story of one of America’s last surviving Negro League ballparks. As a hub for storytelling and social justice, the museum offers a unique look at the Negro Leagues and the rich heritage of Paterson. Through dynamic public programs, educational initiatives, and community engagement, the Museum promotes a deeper understanding of Hinchliffe’s vital role in American social history and its enduring power to unite the diverse communities of Paterson.

Located on the campus of Montclair State University, the Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center is dedicated to honoring the legacy of American legend Yogi Berra, and to sustaining the values that made him a national treasure – respect, teamwork, perseverance and excellence – through various exhibitions and education programs. The Museum also offers a unique setting for special events such as weddings, birthday parties, receptions, workshops and corporate retreats. The facility features an 800-square foot glass atrium, a skybox overlooking Yogi Berra Stadium, and a 65-seat stadium-style theater.

For more than two decades, the Montclair State University Ice Arena has been a cornerstone of the local community. Welcoming over half a million guests each year, the facility features two full NHL-sized rinks, a performance training and rehab center, a pro shop, and a café. Not only the home rink for Montclair’s ice hockey teams and serving as the training ground for Olympic and national-level figure skaters, the arena also supports a wide range of community-based programs, as well as open public skating, birthday parties and corporate events.

Montclair offers aquatics programs for community members age 5 to adult at the Student Recreation Center. Whether you already know how to swim or are just starting out, our classes will help you become a stronger swimmer and develop skills that will last a lifetime. We also offer lifeguarding courses and host pool birthday parties for children.
