Emergency Medical Services
Montclair State University Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is a volunteer, student-run organization that has served the campus community since 1998. Staffed by certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), EMS provides basic life support, prehospital emergency medical care and ambulance transportation to local hospitals. EMS operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, ensuring that students, faculty, staff and visitors have access to immediate emergency care at all times. In addition to emergency response, EMS supports the broader community through CPR and First Aid training and provides medical standby services for events across campus and the surrounding area.

Services and Support
- Emergency Medical Response: Immediate, on-campus response to medical emergencies, supported by mutual aid partners when needed.
- Ambulance Transportation: Safe and efficient transport to area hospitals.
- Training and Education: CPR and First Aid certification courses for campus and community members.
- Event Standby Coverage: On-site EMS presence for events such as athletic competitions, concerts, carnivals and large gatherings where there may be increased risk.
