Housing is guaranteed for students who meet all application requirements and deadlines, including acceptance, enrollment confirmation, payment of the housing fee and completion of the housing application.

Yes. You can select your roommate and indicate housing preferences during the application and selection process, though preferences are not guaranteed.

After receiving your housing confirmation, you have five business days to cancel without penalty. After that, cancellation requests must be submitted and are not guaranteed.

If needed, your Community Assistant (CA), also known as a Resident Assistant (RA) on the Bloomfield campus, or your Community Director can help mediate.

Yes. The University provides 24/7 police patrol, emergency phones around campus and safety tools like Rave Guardian for you to use. We also send out emergency alerts via text and email when necessary to keep you in the know.

Community Assistants (CAs), referred to as Resident Assistants (RAs) on the Bloomfield campus, along with Community Directors and Residence Life staff, are available to support you 24/7.

Yes, residence halls remain open during most academic breaks. You may need to indicate your plans in advance which we will email you about prior including Thanksgiving and Winter Break.

Yes. You are responsible for your own space, while staff maintain shared areas including laundry rooms and common areas. We encourage you to bring a set of basic cleaning supplies to keep your space clean!

Rooms have basic furniture including a bed, desk and desk chair. Some also have shared spaces with couches and kitchens! 

We recommend bringing personal items like bedding, towels and décor to make your space feel like yours. Make sure you chat with your roommate!

Yes, all residents are required to have a meal plan. We have different options that can be selected during housing selection.

Yes, free laundry service is available in all residence halls for residents. You do need to bring your own detergent or dryer sheets though!

You must have 30+ credits to be eligible to purchase a parking permit.

First-year students with fewer than 30 credits are not permitted to have a car on campus. 

We do have plenty of public transportation on campus though, including two train stations and a bus line.
