Get personalized updates, newsletters and reminders through the Family Portal, powered by CampusESP.
When your student deposits and commits to Montclair State University, the email address they provide for you may already be added to the Family Portal. Look for an email with the subject line “Welcome to the Red Hawk Family” to access your account.
How to Stay Connected
Be sure to complete your profile and communication preferences in CampusESP so we can personalize updates, resources and important information based on your interests and your student’s experience.
Families can also connect through Q&A Destination, our discussion board where you can ask questions, share advice and engage with both campus staff and other Red Hawk families.

What Families Ask Most
How do I stay informed about important updates?
The best way to stay connected is through the Family Portal, powered by CampusESP. Sign in or create your account and make sure your profile and preferences are up to date to receive personalized updates, newsletters and important reminders.
How do I access billing information?
Students can grant billing access by adding you as an authorized user through the payment portal. We encourage families to have a conversation with their student about access and account permissions. Learn About Authorized Users.
Can families attend Undergraduate Orientation?
Yes! Families and supporters are invited to attend a separate Orientation experience designed specifically for families. Sessions are focused on resources, support services, student success and what to expect during your student’s transition to Montclair State University. View Orientation Dates.
How do I register for Family Weekend?
Registration is not currently open. Family Weekend registration and additional event details will launch in early Spring 2027 through the Family Portal. Learn More About Family Weekend.
