Student Communications and Red Hawk Life is the centralized department for communicating with current students and families for everything outside of the classroom. We create clear, timely and authentic messaging that bridges communication gaps, fosters engagement and promotes belonging across the Montclair and Bloomfield campuses.

How We Can Help

Let us help you reach students, the way they want to be reached. Our office also manages communication to families. Fill out any one of our request forms so we can best serve you.

Email Requests

Students do read email, we have the data to prove it!

We can help you share news, announcements and event information through the Red Hawk News which is sent to all current undergrad and graduate students on a regular basis.
Some of our newsletters are themed and sent to targeted groups of students such as our resident or commuter populations or broken down by class year.
Information can also be shared with students' families when it is beneficial and appropriate to do so through our Family Newsletter. Learn more about our Family Program at Montclair!

Submissions are considered on a first-come, first-served basis and are not guaranteed. Student organizations and club specific information must first be published on Engage and then will automatically be included in our weekly event digest email, In the Loop.

The information you provide in your request will help our team recommend the best fit for you!

Social Media Requests

We run a few student and campus life focused social media accounts, one of which is solely focused on promoting events, clubs and organizations!

Let us help you create engaging social content that students will like and share.
Stories, reels and posts serve different purposes and we would be happy to collab.
Want to reach families? We can help with that too through our Montclair Families Instagram.

Design Requests

We can help you create properly branded creative including event flyers, brochures, banners, t-shirts, graphics for promotional materials and more leading up to your next event!

Have an existing design already? We can clean it up and ensure it meets University Brand Guidelines.
Considering AI-generated art? Don't. Let us help you create custom graphics designed by our team of professionals.
Need a logo? Chat with our partners in University Communications and Marketing who manage those types of requests.

Digital Screen Requests

We help manage and add content to the digital screens around campus, specifically the monitors in the Student Center and Cole Hall.

Please share your information with us so it can be displayed!
Submitted content may be redesigned to meet brand guidelines and fit in one of our pre-made templates.

NEST Portal Updates

Our team can make updates or changes to the NEST Portal.
