About Inside Montclair
Inside Montclair provides a dedicated space for students, employees and the general public to find the deep, operational content they need day-to-day. From registration instructions to public events, the website gives departments the autonomy to manage their detailed information without diluting the primary recruitment message now served on montclair.edu.
Why Does This Site Exist?
The previous single-site model forced every department to speak to all audiences simultaneously—prospective students, current students, faculty, alumni, and the public. The new dual-platform model separates these concerns to achieve clear business goals.
By separating concerns, this new structure provides two major benefits:
First, it allows the university to present a more polished, professional, and compelling "front door" on montclair.edu, strengthening our brand image for prospective students.
Second, it dramatically improves the user experience for our internal audiences by organizing practical information logically around user tasks and needs, rather than forcing them to navigate the university's internal organizational chart.
Do I need to log in?
You do not need to log in to use all of Inside Montclair’s features. Public information, such as news, events and links, will continue to be public.
