Award-Winning Chapter

The PRSSA Bateman Case Study Competition is PRSSA's premier national competition, challenging students to develop and execute a public relations campaign for a real client. Teams conduct research, create and implement strategic communications plans, and measure campaign results while gaining hands-on experience in research, planning, media relations, content creation, and campaign evaluation. The competition provides students with valuable real-world experience and helps prepare them for successful careers in public relations and communications.

Montclair's PRSSA Chapter has consistently embraced the challenge of the Bateman Competition, giving our students the opportunity to collaborate on nationally recognized campaigns while building portfolios, expanding professional networks, and developing the strategic and leadership skills valued by employers. Over the past five years, Montclair has consistently placed among the top teams in the national including two second place awards, demonstrating the chapter's commitment to excellence in public relations education and practice.
