Montclair News Lab
Montclair State University's first student-produced newscast, delivering the biggest stories from campus aired on the University's digital streaming platform, Hawk+. A real newsroom. Real deadlines. Real broadcast journalism experience.
Where the University Meets the Community
The program is built on collaboration. Rather than operating as a standalone outlet, Montclair News Lab draws from across Montclair's student media brands, combining reporting from The Montclarion and WMSC 90.3 FM into a single, cohesive broadcast each week.
For students, it means working in a live production environment, meeting broadcast deadlines, and developing the skills that translate directly to careers in journalism, media production, and communications.
