Mathematics and Chemistry Placement Assessment:
Montclair State University requires the ALEKS Placement, Preparation, and Learning (ALEKS PPL) Assessment for students in certain majors to determine readiness for math courses. This web-based assessment identifies strengths and areas for improvement, providing an opportunity to review and reassess.
You should only be taking this assessment if you are a student in the following:
- College of Science and Mathematics
- Feliciano School of Business
- Exercise Science Major
- Pre-Med Program
You will receive an e-mail 2 days after paying your enrollment deposit if you are required to take the ALEKS assessment. Instructions will be included on how to access the exam.
