The Summer Academy is your first step toward becoming part of the EOF community at Montclair State University. This year’s program will take place from Monday, June 29 through Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

Summer Academy Benefits

First-year scholars enrolling in Fall 2026 under the provisions of the EOF Program are required to attend the Summer Academy, a rigorous five-week institute designed to assist students with the successful academic and social transition to the University experience, and includes:

  • Enrollment in credit-bearing courses
  • Individual and group counseling sessions
  • Academic support and tutoring services
  • Co-curricular programming
  • Financial literacy education
  • Career enrichment activities
  • Community service engagement

The EOF Summer Academy is fully funded through the EOF program.

Eligible scholars enrolled in EOF may receive annual EOF grants of up to $1,950.

Tuition & Billing

Any bill pertaining to the Summer Academy that you receive is automatic from the University. EOF covers the Summer Academy in FULL.

Orientation & Program Expectations

Please check your email for the mandatory Summer Academy orientation session dates. The information shared during these sessions is important. If you are unable to attend due to a prior commitment (such as graduation), please contact your EOF Counselor or Katrina Liera.

No, you must remain on campus during the Summer Academy. 

Check-Out in every Thursday at 12pm and Check-In is every Sunday at 6pm. 

Course & Schedule Information

Follow up with Dr. Gordon or Katrina Liera ASAP as you may be eligible to be exempt from the Summer Academy.

Fall schedules are created by your major advisor and are typically finalized by the first week of July. Students who are undeclared or undecided are encouraged to contact the Discovery Program.
