Computers

Desktop computers are available in the reference area on the main floor of the library.
Montclair users can use their NetID to log in to these computers. For more information (including computer availability, visit the IT Laptop Lending page).
Visitors can bring a current photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, passport, student/employee ID) to Laptop Lending. A lab assistant will note the visitors’ information (first and last name, ID #) and then bring visitors to the reference area to log them in with a guest account.

Printers

The printing lab is on the main level of the library in room 132, near the elevator.

Laptop Lending

IT provides laptop computers to current students with a valid Montclair ID card.
Laptops may be checked out for four hours (with the possibility of renewal if laptops are available) from the laptop lending lab in room 132 on the main level of the library, near the elevator.
Students may take the laptop outside the building and off campus.
Print jobs may be sent to the printing lab and may be picked up there

Scanners

Scanning is free and does not require a Montclair ID card.
Scanners can be found near the Front Desk and in the Reference Area on the main level of the library.

Microform Reader/Scanners

Microform readers/scanners are available to scan pages from microfilm and microfiche on the lower level of the library.
For students, microform copies cost 10 cents per page. The scanner service for microfilm/fiche is free.
Faculty, staff and graduate students may request microform items to be copied for them by completing the Article Request Form. (No charge for three articles or 50 pages per week).

Digital Camera, DVD, CD, VCR, Cassette and Record Players (LPs)

The Viewing Rooms are equipped with DVDs, VCRs and video monitors/televisions. Reserve a viewing room!
The Listening Rooms have equipment for listening to CDs, audio-cassettes and records (LPs). Reserve a listening room!

Students, faculty and staff may borrow a portable DVD player from the Sprague Library Front Desk.
Students may borrow DVD players, camcorders, and external drives from the Information Technology Division through the AV request form on the Reserving AV Equipment page.

Group Video Conferencing

The library has Polycom cameras and Sony 4K 65 inch flat screens located in the three Collaborative Spaces on the Lower Level which can be used with Zoom or other video conferencing applications.

The Front Desk has calculators available that may be checked out for up to 3 hours.

Battery Charging Stations

Battery charging stations are available for up to 3 hours from the Sprague Library front desk.

Wireless Sheet Music Page Tuners

Bluetooth foot controllers that allow musicians the hands free ability to turn pages, read music, scroll lyrics/tabs, trigger backing tracks and effects, send MIDI commands and custom DAW keys, cue audio and lighting, and more. Compatible with many apps and bluetooth-capable devices.
