Graduate Student Journal Article Writing Group

The writing group will run each semester (approximately January - April), with weekly topics including:

• Time Management

• Literature Review

• Citation Management

• Journal Selection

• And more!

The program is mostly run asynchronously, though participants are required to attend one weekly synchronous writing session, with multiple sessions being offered each week. We will be using Wendy Laura Belcher’s book Writing Your Journal Article in Twelve Weeks to help facilitate discussions and writing.

If you are interested in joining, please consider attending one of the upcoming Zoom information sessions (coming Fall 2026!) where we will discuss how the program will run, the expected time commitment, and answer any other questions you may have about the group.

To join the group, please fill out the current graduate student registration form (graduate student alumni should use the alumni registration form). A completed article draft is required to register. You do not need to attend an information session to join the group, but it is recommended. If you have questions, please contact Catherine Baird, bairdc@montclair.edu.
