Types of On-Campus Employment
Student Employment
Federal Work-Study (FWS) A federally funded program for students who qualify through the FAFSA. Federal Work-Study positions must be worked on campus. If you've been awarded Federal Work-Study, you may apply for both FWS-designated positions and Student Assistant positions To check your award in NEST:
- Log in to NEST.
- Select Financial Aid.
- View your Financial Aid Awards for the current academic year.
Student Assistant - A university-funded, part-time employment program for students who do not qualify for Federal Work-Study. Eligibility Requirements
- Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA
- Be enrolled in at least: 9 credits (undergraduate), 6 credits (graduate)
- Work no more than 20 hours per week
- Work no more than 6 consecutive hours or 10 total hours in a calendar day
