Parking On Campus
Undergraduate Resident students with 29 credits or less are not eligible for parking permits on campus. Any student with an extenuating circumstance may request a parking exception to acquire a permit that their status would normally not allow them to obtain. To request an exception, complete the request form.
Please note that work purposes are not a valid exception request.
Resident students with 30 credits or more are permitted to park on campus. All students parking on Montclair State University’s campus as well as Bloomfield Campus must be registered to a valid resident permit.
Currently, there are no EV charging stations available at Bloomfield Campus.

Faculty & Staff Parking Information
Faculty & Staff Parking Permit Options Available
All employees can obtain a parking permit upon completion of the hiring process (usually when a NetID has been issued).
The permit you can obtain is dependent on classifications issued by University Human Resources. All those who received complimentary parking must still register for a parking permit.
Where Can I Park: Faculty/Staff Permit holders can park in following spaces:
- Can park in Surface Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 8.
- The designated lots can be viewed on Bloomfield Parking Map.
Parking regulations: Below in the FAQ section are the parking regulations for faculty and staff permits, issued according to HR classifications.
Currently, there are no EV charging stations available at Bloomfield Campus.
Visitor & Event Parking Information
Visitor Parking Rates and Fees
All guests and parents wishing to visit the campus for non-academic purposes, must pay to park by the hour.
Below listed are the PaybyPhone® rates in Commuter Surface Lots.

Please Note: Overnight Parking is ONLY allowed between 3:30 am and 6:00 am and Parking for commuter permit holders begins after 10:00 pm.
Event Parking Rates and Fees
Parking Services can assist customers in preparing for special events held on campus. We offer reserved parking, attendants who can welcome your guests, various message boards, and other useful services to assist you with a successful event.
Please fill out and submit the Special Event Parking Form at least five (5) business days, but preferably as soon as possible, before the scheduled date of your event.

Some events and/or functions require parking enforcement personnel to properly manage the event, or require labor hours and material in preparation for the event. If you wish to secure an attendant, the cost is as follows:
