The Montclair State University Social Media Playbook brings everything you need into one practical resource. It is designed for account administrators, student creators and campus partners who want to build a consistent, engaging and effective social media presence.
Inside, you’ll find University guidelines, platform tips, content planning tools, branding resources, photography and video best practices, approved hashtags and a directory of campus accounts. The Playbook is updated each summer to reflect new trends, platform changes and University priorities.

Our Community of Practice

The Social Media Community of Practice brings together University account administrators for ongoing learning, collaboration and support. Whether you are new to managing an account or have years of experience, you will find practical guidance, fresh ideas and a network of colleagues ready to help.
Summer and winter training sessions cover University guidelines, platform updates, emerging trends, content strategy and available resources. Throughout the year, administrators also stay connected through email and Slack, where we share timely updates, announcements, best practices and opportunities to collaborate.

Social Media Walls
Showcase your School or College in a dynamic, engaging way with a custom Social Media Wall. The wall will feature custom artwork designed to represent the space, along with campus-aligned hashtags and social media handles. Designs will be created to showcase your specific School/College and boost visibility and engagement across campus.
