Social Media Ambassadors
About the Team
Established in 2021, the Social Media Ambassador Team is a student creator group within the Content Creator Program focused on producing short-form, vertical video content. Through platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube ambassadors highlight Montclair’s campus culture, student experiences, and #RedHawkPride in a fast-paced, engaging format designed for today’s social media landscape.
Constantly keeping up with the latest trends, social media strategies, and TikTok community lingo, our Ambassadors keep the University at the forefront of some of the best Higher Education accounts on the platforms.
This team’s content is intended to provide our audience the most authentic look into what happens daily at Montclair. Creating fun insight for current students, prospective students, friends and family, and people discovering our University for the first time.

My goal is to showcase all of the great opportunities Montclair has to offer—even as a commuter. I once believed that the full college experience only came from living on campus, but I want to highlight the success students can achieve here regardless, along with the many resources the University provides. Through my content, I hope to show that everyone can experience #RedHawkPride.

Major/Minors: Social Media & Public Relations
Involvement on Campus: Her Campus
From an early age, I discovered a love for creating social media content—not just for fun, but as a way to inform and connect with others through a screen. I enjoy meeting new people, trying new things, and, like many, spending hours scrolling through social media. Joining this team in my first year gave me the opportunity to learn from and look up to peers who were already part of the program, while also supporting my major. I especially enjoy creating interview-style videos, which I find both engaging and entertaining, and as a big foodie, I’m always excited to shoot content centered around food. Being part of this team gives me the chance to have fun, grow, and develop new skills that will support my future endeavors.
Tyler Hickman-Taylor
Major/Minors: Communication and Media Studies

Coming from an athletic background with a passion for fitness, travel, fashion, and good food, I also love creating content and collaborating with others. I’m excited to produce engaging reels, TikToks, and more that give both current and prospective students a real feel for life on campus. College is the perfect place to discover who you are within a large community, and being part of the team allows me to showcase everything the University has to offer.
