The Graduate School is beginning an exciting transition into a Center, with a renewed focus on supporting graduate students and strengthening our community. As we plan for what comes next, we want students to be part of the conversation. Join a focus group to share whatโ€™s working, what could be clearer and what would make your graduate experience even better.

Graduate school moves fast, make sure youโ€™re on track! Key dates coming up include:

  • Monday, May 11-Tuesday, May 12: Commencement.
  • Monday, May 11: Start of summer term.
  • Monday, May 25: Memorial Day. No classes.
  • Tuesday, May 26: Deadline to apply to the Student Research & Conference Travel Fund (SRCTF) for travel that takes place between July 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026.
  • Monday, June 1: Condensed university summer hours. University offices will be open 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and closed on Fridays.
  • Friday, June 19: Juneteenth. No classes.
  • Friday, July 3: Independence Day, Observed. No classes.
  • Wednesday, August 19: End of summer term.

โฐ Whatโ€™s Open This Summer

Planning to be on campus this summer? Many University offices, services and facilities will remain available, though hours may change. Beginning Monday, June 1, most departments will follow a condensed summer schedule: 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and closed Fridays. Donโ€™t forget to double-check the current hours of operation before you head to campus!

โœˆ๏ธ Fund Your Research Trip

The Graduate School is making additional funding available through the Student Research & Conference Travel Fund (SRCTF) to graduate students who presented, or who will present research results at a conference between July 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026, or who traveled to conduct research. The application deadline is Tuesday, May 26.
