The Conference Center at Montclair State University offers convenient on-campus housing options for conferences, camps and multi-day events. Located just 12 miles from New York City, our campus provides a comfortable and accessible stay for groups of all sizes.
On-Campus Housing Options
Summer conference guests are housed in University residence halls, which offer a range of accommodations from suite-style living to apartment-style units.
Important Information:
- Accessible housing is available, please arrange accommodations in advance.
- A certificate of insurance may be required depending on your event.
- Additional fees may apply for late check-in or optional services.
The Heights – Suite-Style Housing
The Heights is the primary residence complex for conference guests.
- Combination of single and double bedrooms
- Shared bathroom within each suite
- Air-conditioned units
- Suites accommodate 2-8 guests
- Free on-site laundry facilities
The Village – Apartment-Style Housing
Apartment-style units offer a more independent living experience.
- Combination of single and double bedrooms
- Shared bathroom, living space and kitchen
- Air-conditioned units
- Accommodates up to 4 guests
Note: Kitchens do not include cookware or utensils.
Planning Your Stay
The Office of Residence Life supports conference planners with housing, logistics and coordination of campus services, including dining, parking and event spaces.
To begin planning your stay:
- Contact the Conference Coordinator
- Complete a pre-registration form
- Submit required documentation (if applicable)
- Provide a final roster of participants
Early planning is strongly recommended. Groups are encouraged to confirm details, including housing, dining and event spaces, at least six months in advance.

Free laundry facilities are available in all residence halls for washing linens and personal items.
Housekeeping
- Rooms are cleaned prior to arrival
- Daily housekeeping is not provided
- Common areas are cleaned regularly
Residence Hall Services
Each residence hall includes a staffed service desk to assist guests throughout their stay.
Services include:

- Key and access card distribution
- Parking pass pickup
- General campus information
- Maintenance support
- Wireless internet access assistance

Booking and Payment
- A 50% non-refundable deposit is required upon contract signing.
- Full payment is due prior to arrival.
- A finalized housing contract must be submitted at least one month before your event.
- All rates are per person, per night.
