Limited Submission Opportunities

Some funding opportunities limit the number of proposals that a single institution may submit. When these limited submission opportunities arise, the Office of Sponsored Programs coordinates the University's internal review and selection process to ensure compliance with sponsor requirements and to identify the proposals that will represent Montclair.

OSP works to identify limited submission opportunities that may be of interest to the University community and announces them through the funding opportunities listserv. Because sponsors may release opportunities throughout the year, these announcements should not be considered an exhaustive list.

Internal Competition Process

Montclair uses InfoReady, a secure, web-based competition management system, to administer limited submission opportunities. When OSP announces an internal competition, a corresponding application will be available on the InfoReady homepage.

To apply:

Select the limited submission opportunity from the InfoReady homepage.
Log in using your Montclair NetID.
Click Submit.
Review the competition guidelines and complete an internal application.

Following the internal review process, OSP will notify applicants of the selection results and provide guidance to those invited to prepare a full proposal for sponsor submission.

Before You Begin

Faculty and staff interested in pursuing a limited submission opportunity are encouraged to review OSP's Guidance Document on Limited Submission Opportunities before applying. Applicants should not begin preparing a full proposal until they have been notified that the internal review and selection process has been completed.
