Sigma Theta Tau is the international honor society of nursing dedicated to recognizing nursing students and professionals who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, leadership, and service. The Alpha Zeta Chapter at the Montclair State University School of Nursing was established in 2026. Membership is by invitation to eligible Montclair nursing students who demonstrate excellence in academic achievement, leadership, and service.

Membership Criteria
Eligibility is reviewed after the completion of each Fall semester. Eligible students are identified by the Chapter Leaders and receive an invitation to join. Invitations for membership are extended in February. Induction into the Society is conducted during the Spring semester.
