Students enrolled in any program at the College of the Arts have access to the Office of Student Services for academic and professional help and guidance.
Student Services provides special programs, guidance and information resources, whether to introduce students to all of our programs or support them throughout their studies.
College of the Arts Living Community (ALC)
The College of the Arts Living Community (ALC) brings together students from across the visual, performing, and communication arts who want to live and learn in a creative, collaborative environment. Located in Freeman Hall, across from the Cali School of Music and within walking distance of studios, classrooms, and performance spaces, the ALC provides opportunities for students to connect across disciplines, share ideas, and build a supportive community.
Open to both incoming first-year and current College of the Arts students, the ALC includes shared creative spaces, including a lounge and art studio with work tables, easels, display walls, and a piano. Resident Assistants who are upper-class arts students organize activities, encourage collaboration, and help foster connections among residents. Students can participate in community events, performances, exhibitions, and other creative programming while living alongside peers with shared artistic interests.
Academic and Career Success
Students who thrive in the College of the Arts don’t do it alone. CART Student Services pairs academic advising (course planning, degree progress, graduation pathways) with career development (exploration, internships, portfolio/resume support, networking) to support you as you build your skills, make informed choices, and plan for graduation and what comes next.
