Students must meet the immunization requirements as mandated by New Jersey law and the University.

Tasks to Complete in the Portal
- Complete the online immunization form
- Upload immunization documents
- Immunization information is reviewed within 5 business days
- Only non-compliant students will be contacted
- Check for a secure message in the portal
Where To Get Your Immunization Records
- Pediatrician or current health care provider
- High school nurse
- Previous college or university health center
- Family member
Immunization Deadlines
Deadlines must be met prior to class registration and move-in dates (if applicable).
- Spring: December 1
- Summer: April 15
- Fall: May 22
Immunization Requirements
Newly Admitted Students Under Age 19
Full-Time Students
- MMR: 2-doses (first dose after first birthday)
- Hepatitis B: 3-doses
- Meningitis ACWY: one dose after age 16 (resident and commuter students)
Part-Time Students
- MMR: 2-doses
- Meningitis ACWY: one dose after age 16 (resident and commuter students)
Newly Admitted Students Age 19 and Older
Full-Time Students
- MMR: 2-doses
- Hepatitis B: 3-doses
- Meningitis ACWY: one does within the last 5 years (residents only)
Part-Time Students
- MMR: 2-doses
- Meningitis ACWY: one does within the last 5 years (residents only)
Immunization Exemptions
Students Exempt from Requirements
- Enrolled only in a certificate program
- Enrolled only in a fully online program
- Age 31 or older at time of matriculation
- Students with a medical exemption
- Medical Exemption Form must be completed by a licensed healthcare provider.
- Students with a religion / specific tenant that prohibits immunization
Completed exemption forms must be uploaded to MyHealth Portal.
Recommended
For your protection and disease prevention, the following immunizations are strongly recommended:
- COVID-19 vaccination and boosters
- Varicella (chickenpox)
- Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis)
- HPV
- Td
- Hepatitis A
- Influenza (flu)
- Meningococcal B
