[Phish Alert] Posting Jobs and Internships at Montclair State University.
This article explains a phishing email that uses an official-sounding subject line and a copyright-style signature to appear legitimate.
Why this looks valid:
- Subject line contains Montclair State University
- Has a copyright as the signature
Why this is phishing?
- Email address is not under the Montclair email domain
- Link provided directs to a Google Form requesting personal information
- Google Form and email both have spelling errors
- All job offers related to campus will be available via Handshake.

- Remember: Information Technology will never text you. We will also never request your password or Duo codes, ever.
- Information Technology will not ask you to verify accounts or submit passwords through unofficial forms or unexpected email links.
