Facing Down the AI Monster: Discouraging AI Use When It Undermines Learning
In this session, we will demonstrate a few examples of how some students may be using AI in ways that, at very least, undermine learning. After exploring some flagrant misuse cases of AI completing work fully right in Canvas, we'll talk about strategies to mitigate misuse and double our efforts to persuade students that our courses and college itself only has value when their brains are fully engaged.
