Testimonial
I am always inspired and moved after spending time with these motivated students. Many are the first in their families to go to college. An education offers a path to succeed-for many it is their family’s realization of their “American dream”.

Hear from our participants and their families
"I wanted to say thank you for the wonderful program my daughter attended. We both learned a lot and really appreciate the work the Office for Hispanic Initiatives does to support students and promote an inclusive environment at Montclair State University. We especially appreciate the university’s commitment to Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) goals and the focus on scholarships, teaching, and community relationships. My daughter is excited about the opportunities at Montclair because of this. Thanks again for your leadership and for sharing your work with us".

"I wanted to write this to sincerely thank you for creating this program and for giving me the opportunity to be a part of it. Honestly, in Puerto Rico, we do not often have access to experiences like this, and being accepted into this program gave me hope that my dreams are not as unreachable as they sometimes seem. I especially want to express my gratitude to my mentors as well as your staff members. They were incredibly kind, supportive, and welcoming, and they made me feel very comfortable throughout my time there. The entire HSCI staff was very welcoming. Thank you again for your commitment to supporting and helping students through the college application process, which can often feel very overwhelming. I am truly grateful for everything I learned during my time in HSCI".
