The IACUC Chair provides leadership to the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee and oversees the review of protocols involving the care and use of animals in research and teaching. The Chair facilitates committee meetings and works to ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with federal regulations, institutional policies, and the highest standards of animal welfare.

IACUC Chair: Lisa Hazard

The Attending Veterinarian oversees the health and welfare of animals used in research and teaching and ensures appropriate veterinary care. They provide expert guidance to the IACUC on protocol review, animal care practices, and compliance with animal welfare regulations.

General members of the IACUC contribute diverse expertise to the review of animal research and teaching protocols. They help ensure that all activities meet ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and animal welfare best practices through active participation in committee review and discussion.

The IACUC Coordinator manages the administrative operations of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee, including processing and assigning protocols for review. This role also coordinates meetings, prepares agendas and minutes, and supports investigators and committee members to ensure efficient and compliant committee functioning.
