Testing Requirements

Applicants to the Teacher Education Program are required to submit standardized test score results. 

Enrolled students must submit passing Praxis Subject Assessment scores and/or other required tests such as the Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) or Writing Proficiency Test (WPT) for certain certifications during the course of their program.

  • Magoosh – This is an online test preparation company that teaches students through video lessons, practice test questions, and online email support for Praxis Core.

  • Mometrix Praxis Exam Flashcards Study System – This is the home of Mometrix Test Preparation’s flashcard division, specializing in aptitude and content-based exams, including cognitive technologies for optimal learning.
  • Study.com  Offers Praxis study guides, practice tests, and study tools to help you prepare for your Praxis Subject Assessments.

Praxis Test Preparation is organized by the Center for Student Success and Educator Excellence. Staff provide undergraduate teacher education majors with the tools, resources, and support needed to successfully pass their Praxis Exams. This is a required exam in order for students to receive their teaching license. Through targeted group workshops, study strategies, practice materials, and guidance, students build confidence and strengthen their content knowledge.
