The Department of Educational Foundations will reach out to you about scheduling your New Transfer Student Onboarding Appointment. During this initial meeting, you will review your evaluated transfer credits and set up your schedule for your first semester at MSU.

Our mission is to provide Teacher Education Program students with the information, guidance, and support they need to successfully complete their degree and meet New Jersey state teacher certification requirements. We are committed to delivering high-quality, personalized advising that reflects the unique needs and goals of each of our students.

New Student Orientation for Teacher Education Majors

Teacher Education Orientation takes place twice a year, in the fall and spring, for students who have completed the application and interview process. The program welcomes future educators and introduces them to faculty, program expectations, responsibilities, opportunities, and resources. Students also learn about their pathway through teacher education before concluding with a resource fair.
