About Us
The Global Center on Human Trafficking at Montclair State University (GCHT) is a leading advocacy hub committed to fighting human trafficking through education, outreach, and legislative action. Our mission focuses on preventing trafficking, supporting survivors, and driving policy change by harnessing the expertise of scholars, practitioners, and survivor leaders. We engage with both the campus and local community with awareness campaigns, training programs, and partnerships with government and non-governmental organizations—all working together to create a world free from exploitation.
Montclair State University, one of the most diverse higher education institutions in the United States, has a history of supporting social justice and human rights issues affecting communities across the world. What began as a university initiative spearheaded by a group of committed leaders, faculty, and staff has grown into a global center collaborating with survivors around the world to transform the response to human trafficking.

Global Human Trafficking Certificate
This interdisciplinary certificate provides undergraduate students with a multidisciplinary understanding of human trafficking through coursework and hands-on experience. Open to all majors, the program prepares students to advocate, educate, and lead efforts to combat exploitation worldwide.
New Jersey Anti-Human Trafficking Resource Directory
The Global Center On Human Trafficking at Montclair State University is pleased to present to you a comprehensive directory of services, programs and resources to address human trafficking in New Jersey. Our goal in producing this directory is to improve our collective efforts to prevent human trafficking, hold traffickers accountable and provide trauma-informed support and services to survivors across New Jersey. Human trafficking is a complex crime that requires all of us to work together in a coordinated fashion. Sometimes knowing who to call or where to turn can literally save a life or put a trafficker behind bars. We hope you will find this directory useful.
