All graduates of Montclair State University are eligible to receive an alumni card.

• Check out Job Scan, an online resource that allows you to assess the effectiveness of your resume. You can upload your resume and a job description to calculate your match rate based on skill, job title, education, etc.

Now you can have a free permanent email account that never changes and is affiliated with your alma mater! Sign onto Gmail to create a personalized Montclair State email account that you can use to send and receive emails.

With an @alumni.montclair.edu email account, you can:

• Use your alumni email address as a fully-functional web-based email account and access your email from anywhere in the world via an Internet connection using Gmail.
• Set your alumni email address to forward to another email account of your preference.
• Send emails using your alumni address as the “from” address when managing emails from a personal account.
• Rest assured that your account will be managed with the reliability of Google services.

ADP Center Alumni have access to the ADP Center for Teacher Preparation and Learning Technologies. This center functions as a hub of innovation in pedagogy, curriculum instructional planning, educational technology and professional development within the Center of Pedagogy.

The ADP Center mission is to improve the quality of education for teacher education students, faculty, practicing teachers, counselors, administrators and others in professional careers in pre-K through secondary schools and post-secondary education by providing access to our more than 30,000 curriculum & instructional technology resources as well as the requisite support in using them. Continue learning at Montclair by auditing a course. Community members, including alumni, may apply to audit select courses by completing the audit application and obtaining the required approvals. Auditing offers a great opportunity to explore new subjects, expand your knowledge, or reconnect with the classroom experience.

Alumni are able to take advantage of the services offered by the Ben Samuels Children’s Center.

The Ben Samuels Children’s Center at Montclair State University is a model of excellence in the inclusive early care and education of children from birth through 5 years. The Center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. With just a few exceptions, the Children’s Center is open when the University is open and closed when it is closed. Hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 6:15 p.m.

The Center for Writing Excellence is available to all alumni who are committed to developing and improving as writers, with in-person and online appointments available. Sessions with experienced writing consultants are designed to provide help on every aspect of the writing process, with the goal of enabling writers to achieve long-term improvement, confidence and independence.

They welcome all alumni writers in any stage of the writing process, in any discipline. For information or to schedule an appointment, please visit The Center for Writing Excellence.

Alumni are permitted to use the campus computer lab facilities located on the fifth floor of University Hall. For hours of operation and more information, please visit the Office of Information Technology website or call the OIT Service Desk at 973-655-7971. An alumni photo ID card is required for access to the lab and computers.

Alumni can take advantage of a 20% discount at the Montclair State University Ice Arena. This alumni discount applies to general admission and the Learn to Skate Package. (Discount is only for alumni. Family and friends are not eligible. Must show your alumni id card upon entry to use the discount.

Take a walk down memory lane! Yearbooks are viewable online through the Harry A. Sprague Library databases. Visit the archive to virtually flip through the pages of your yearbook! Browse the collection.

Alumni have the pleasure of attending performances at Kasser Theater as part of Peak Performances. Come back to campus and enjoy a concert, play, or a ballet! Tickets for professional artists appearing at the Alexander Kasser Theater are affordably priced at only $30. For more information and a schedule of upcoming performances, visit the Peak Performances website. Please note that alumni tickets are only available at the box office. 

Alumni can take advantage of a discounted membership rate at the state-of-the art Student Recreation Center on campus. The recreation center features a variety of collaborative recreational offerings, including Fitness and Group Exercise, Intramural Sports, Special Events, Off-Campus Trips, Sport Clubs, Co-Sponsorships, and more. For membership information and Recreation Center Hours, please visit the Recreation Center website. To apply for membership, alumni are required to obtain an alumni photo ID card.

Alumni who are New Jersey residents age 65 or older may participate in the Senior Citizen Program through the Center for Academic Success & Tutoring (CAST). This non-degree program allows eligible participants to enroll in courses for personal enrichment on a space-available, tuition-waived basis. Participants are responsible for applicable student fees and a $40 administrative fee each semester.

While on campus, alumni have access to the University Libraries and, while connected to the campus guest WiFi or using a public computer, can access the library’s online databases. Visit the library and, while you’re there, stop by Starbucks to enjoy a snack and a cup of coffee. Alumni can enjoy access to the Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center, located on the campus of Montclair State University. The Center hosts many activities and events throughout the year. Alumni can visit during public visiting hours, Wednesday through Sunday, 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. Alumni can also become a member and enjoy all the benefits of being part of the Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center family.
