CMS Training & Documentation
Inside Montclair is a Drupal-based web platform available to the University Web Content Community. Under Montclair's shared-partnership model, UCM provides the training, documentation, support and technical infrastructure for the website. Individual Content Editors and Content Publishers manage content creation, editing and publishing and are responsible for accuracy and maintenance.
Montclair.edu is a Drupal-based web platform that is not available to the University Web Content Community. Due to the strategic role in supporting enrollment, UCM manages all content, pages and publishing. Select partners in Enrollment Management and schools may be granted invite-only, edit-only access to a limited number of pages. UCM reviews and publishes all updates to those pages.
Consistency, Fidelity, Accessibility
Adhering to a standard framework for our sites, pages and components help deliver a consistent user experience and ensure that the content is accessible for visitors with disabilities and displays with fidelity on a variety of desktop and mobile devices.
Editors and publishers must request CMS training and pass the assessment before editing content or publishing new pages. Once your request is received, UCM will confirm with the designated web liaison (NetID required) for your website(s) prior to moving the request forward.
Upon completion of training, new members of the Web Content Community will have access to the digital toolkit, weekly meetings and the dedicated Slack channel.
Live training sessions are held once per semester and recordings are available for reference in the digital toolkit (NetID required) for ongoing reference. To maintain CMS access, editors complete an annual assessment each summer. If additional support is needed, the results will be reviewed and the editor may be invited to complete refresher training or receive other guidance.

The annotations (NetID required) provide a comprehensive overview of each component's functionality, fields, and associated page templates.
Marketing Website News & Events Requests
Members of the web content community may complete the Strategic Communications Request form to request news features on Montclair.edu. To submit events for promotion on the marketing website, or to request additional taxonomies for Inside Montclair events, web editors and publishers must complete the Event Promotion and Taxonomy request form.
