The College of the Arts is excited to introduce your new Career Development team. Shaquille Rivera, Director of Career Development; Sarah Marsiglia, Career Advisor; and Magali Romero, Career Development Specialist. Together they bring a wide range of experience helping students explore career paths, build professional skills and prepare for life after graduation. journeys.   

With the full team in place, the office has planned a fall lineup of events designed specifically for CART Students.  

Career Fair Prep Workshop: Get ready to make a strong impression at your next career fair. This workshop will cover resume writing, employer research, tailored application materials and tips for confidently showcasing your work

CART Internship Requirement Info Session: This workshop will provide a comprehensive overview of the Cooperative Education Program, including eligibility, enrollment steps, and academic requirements for programs that require an internship.

Site Visit: The RealReal: Go behind the scenes at The RealReal, a leader in authenticated luxury consignment. Learn about the growing resale industry, explore the company’s internship program, and discover careers in fashion, sustainability, authentication, operations, and more.

The Internship Playbook: Your Success Blueprint: Whether you're searching for your first internship or preparing for your next one, this workshop will help you navigate the process with confidence. Learn how to find opportunities, create an application timeline, strengthen your resume, and develop a standout application that showcases your skills and creativity.

College of the Arts Alumni Career Panel: Join alumni from the College of the Arts as they share their career journeys, discuss how they transitioned from college to the professional world, and offer advice for students interested in creative careers. Featured Career areas include performing arts and theatre production; fashion and apparel; dance and performance; arts administration; human resources in creative industries. 

A Rockette’s Entrepreneurship Journey: Join us for an inspiring conversation with former Radio City Rockette and founder of Jane DO, Dani DeAngelo, as she shares her journey from professional performer to entrepreneur. DeAngelo will discuss the discipline, teamwork, resilience, and performance mindset that helped her become a Rockette, and how those same skills guided her transition into business ownership.
