Feliciano School of Business and Prudential Host Career Seminar
The Feliciano School of Business hosted an informational panel and presentation featuring representatives from Prudential Financial and its global asset management business, PGIM, at the Feliciano School of Business.
Led by Prudential Talent Acquisition Spealist, Keren Hynes, the event provided students with key insights into financial services career pathways. Hynes detailed early talent programs, including two-day sophomore externships, 10-week summer internships, and full-time roles across areas such as sales, technology, actuarial science, and portfolio analysis. She outlined the application timeline, advising candidates on video interviews, networking with purpose, and applying early for competitive roles.
The session featured an employee panel with Montclair State alumni and corporate leaders sharing practical career advice. Michael Lauritano ’23, Analyst, described his progression from intern to the CLO Business Administration team through a rotational program. Ikenna Onyegbule ‘24, Investment Operations Analyst, highlighted how strategic networking helped him secure a direct post-graduation role without a prior internship. Catina Artenant, Director of Platform Engineering, discussed her six-year career overseeing HR technology and the increasing intersection of technology and human resources.
When answering audience questions regarding key traits for workplace success, the panelists emphasized adaptability, curiosity, active collaboration, and optimism. They also highlighted Prudential’s supportive workplace culture, competitive benefits, and eight Business Resource Groups (BRGs) that offer mentorship and professional development.
The event concluded with an interactive Q&A, offering students direct guidance on building campus experiences and leveraging alumni connections for future recruitment cycles.
