Christopher Parker

Christopher Parker, faculty member in the Department of Theatre and Dance, has published his memoir, “Lines in a Living Poem: Journeys with Earl on the Morris Canal,” in the Paterson Literary Review. Founded in 1979 by Maria Mazziotti Gillan, the journal has grown from a mimeographed publication into a nationally respected literary resource, featuring the work of acclaimed poets including Allen Ginsberg, Sonia Sanchez, and Martín Espada.

Parker brings an engaging, experiential approach to his teaching at Montclair State University, encouraging students to connect academic subjects with lived experience through interactive lessons, dialogue, and exploration beyond the classroom. His work reflects a commitment to helping students develop deeper understanding and discover meaningful connections between their studies and the world around them.
