The PSEG Institute for Sustainability Studies (PSEG ISS) is a local leader in the sustainability space, supporting trans-disciplinary research, community projects, workforce development, and outreach and education to address sustainability needs both locally and globally. Through partnerships with New Jersey-based and multi-national corporations and organizations, PSEG ISS implements sustainability initiatives focused on topics ranging from climate change, emissions, and energy, to waste, clean water, and food insecurity. 2026 Student Symposium on Sustainability Sciences (4S)
The PSEG Institute for Sustainability Studies is hosting the inaugural Student Symposium on Sustainability Science (4S) on October 13, 2026 in partnership with the the Student Conference on Conservation Science (SCCS) hosted by the Center for Biodiversity and Conservation (CBC) at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. This one-day event will showcase student research focused on sustainability science, applications, outreach and education, and provide attendees with networking opportunities and access to SCCS events taking place October 14-16, 2026.

Principles
The PSEG Institute for Sustainability Studies advances local and global sustainability, including overcoming environmental and climate-related issues. The Institute provides access to education and careers related to these fields, and guides all individuals and their pursuit of sustainable access to and use of environmental resources. We promote a work environment that is fully inclusive, antiracist, and supportive of all peoples working with and for PSEG ISS. We support our students in all of their work, identities, values, and beliefs. The PSEG Institute for Sustainability Studies has no tolerance for hate or violence.
