Financial Assistance for Child Care
Low- and moderate-income working parents can receive state subsidies for child care, including preschool instruction, after-school programs for children up to age 13, and care for children and teens with special needs.

Help with Receiving Child Support

New Jersey Food Stamps

Support for Working Families (Post-TANF Support Services)
To help post-TANF persons keep on their feet, New Jersey provides a number programs including financial supplemental work support, transportation vouchers, education vouchers and child care.

Provides very low-income families with home energy assistance.

Emergency Overnight Shelter for Men and Women
At the shelter, people receive food, clothing, and mental health, substance abuse, and physical assessments to help them find programs that can help them get back on their feet.

Health screening: In partnership with the City of Paterson’s Department of Health, the Creech Community Development Center will conduct health screening quarterly. Services include blood pressure, HIV, diabetes and cholesterol testing.

Medicaid
Medicaid provides health insurance to parents/caretakers, dependent children, pregnant women and people who are aged, blind or disabled. These programs pay for hospital services, doctor visits, prescriptions, nursing home care and other healthcare needs depending on eligibility.
