World Premiere of “Red Sauce: An Italian American Culinary Journey”
The Coccia Institute for the Italian Experience in America was proud to host the premiere of Red Sauce: An Italian American Culinary Journey, on Wednesday, October 12th, 2022.
Produced in partnership with the School of Communication and Media at Montclair State University, Red Sauce is a docuseries that explores how Italian American foods—including pizza, chicken parmesan, spaghetti and meatballs, and the Philadelphia cheesesteak—transformed America, and how food became a powerful vehicle for Italian assimilation into American culture.
Narrated by Professor Mark Rotella, Director of the Coccia Institute and the Italian American Foodways Project at Montclair State University, the premiere introduced audiences to the pilot episode and celebrated the launch of this exciting new series.
