University Hall Upgrades - ADP Center Refresh

University Hall Teaching and Learning Center

New carpet, paint, lighting, millwork and furniture have been installed throughout the University Hall Teaching and Learning Center.

 

Kinesiology Lab 4000

We are completing the expansion of the Kinesiology Lab 4000 to include refinished flooring, paint and new furniture. 

Bohn Hall Common Area

Come and enjoy the fresh new Bohn Hall common areas! We have replaced the existing flooring tile with new wood-patterned luxury vinyl tile within all corridors and student lounge spaces throughout Bohn Hall. 

Calcia Hall Classroom 245

Enjoy the brand new furniture in Calcia Hall Classroom 245 and the freshened up corridors. 

Dreamscape Learn Virtual Reality Classroom

The University formed a Partnership with a virtual reality developer and converted an existing television production studio within the School of Communication and Media into a Virtual Reality Classroom and Development Lab. The intent of this new academic program is to revolutionize education through the skillful use of virtual reality experiences by combining the power of movie-quality storytelling and cinematic visuals with proven educational principles … and it’s exciting and fun! Check it out!

Student Center Package Amazon Pickup Lockers

Expecting a package? University Facilities Postal Services delivers! 

Look no further than the newly installed package lockers in the lower level of the Student Center! Students will receive electronic notice from University Postal Services with a code to access the locker. Talk about convenience.

Student Center Stairs and Towers

Student Center Stairs and Towers received a makeover. Masonry repairs to breaks and cracks in the two stair towers and South elevation balconies at the Student Center are complete and ready to greet you.

Panzer Updates

We have replaced the damaged wood flooring in both the Panzer Competition Gym and the Auxiliary gym which were damaged by winter related leaks. The existing bleachers in the Panzer Athletic Center competition gym have also been replaced with new branded, telescoping bleachers.

University Hall Waichungo Family Courtyard

Overhead string lighting has been installed in the University Hall Waichungo Family Courtyard, creating an even more ethereal setting for you to relax and gather.

PBS Studio

Interior office renovations are underway for PBS studio and office personnel, including telecom/fiber infrastructure upgrades, audio visual teleconferencing and new office furniture. Stay tuned for updates!

Memorial Auditorium Manual Roll Up Door

Replacement of the Memorial Auditorium Manual Roll Up Door at rear of stage with new power controlled door is now complete.

Russ Hall Projects

We have replaced the Student Room carpet flooring with new wood-patterned luxury vinyl tile as well as the existing student room furniture sets. 

Renovation of existing Community Kitchen within the residence hall including new appliances, countertops, cabinetry, flooring, and finishes.  

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

Renovations are underway to add two additional offices within the overall existing C.A.P.S. space in Russ Hall to accommodate two new staff therapist positions as well as new flooring and interior signage.

Nursing Virtual Reality

Installation and implementation of new virtual reality technology for our Nursing students including new Meta headsets and 141 total software licenses to help better prepare students to enter the modern healthcare workforce.

Campus Accessibility Signage (Phase 2)

We are preparing for installation of 26 new accessibility signs across campus covering 10 buildings. Previous phases encompassed 25 new accessibility signs (10 wall, 10 decals, 5 ground) across 10 buildings. 

Village Upgrades

Village LED Retrofit Phase 2 - We’re energy conscious and it shines brightly. We are retrofitting existing lighting throughout the entirety of Fenwick and Basie Halls with new Energy Efficient LED light fixtures in accordance with PSE&G’s Energy Saver Incentive Program.

Village Facade Phase 4 - Restoration of the stucco facade at Fenwick Hall includes the replacement of joints, molding, corners, and flashing, waterproof sealing, and painting.

Red Hawk Annex

Renovation of the existing restroom and locker rooms at the Red Hawk Annex and conversion to public restrooms to service Sprague Field is now complete. Go Red Hawks!

Freeman Hall Soundbooths

The Soundbooths in Freeman Hall are even cooler than before with the installation of a new Ventilation / Air Conditioning system in four class rooms where new soundbooths for Cali School of Music were installed last year.

Athletic Annex Driving Simulator

The Athletic Annex Driving Simulator received new Split A/C Units as well as new smoke detectors, exit signs and pull stations.

Athletic Annex Passageway

A new Athletic Annex Passageway between the driving simulator area and the women's field hockey training area has been installed. 

 

Sprague Library

Perusing books and such just got brighter in Sprague Library. We have replaced all the lights in all three floors of the Library with energy efficient LED fixtures as well as room sensing controls.

Electric Scooter Charging & Storage Stations

Eight Electric Scooter Charging & Storage Stations have been installed at various locations on the Montclair campus. 

Ice Arena

We have replaced the Ice Arena’s aging freon Refrigeration System with a new energy efficient CO2 system powered by electricity generated by our campus power grid. Rink #1 is complete. Rink #2 is in progress and will be ready for all of your skating fun very soon.
