New Partnership Brings NJ Stories to the Classroom

The ADP Center for Learning Technologies at Montclair State University's College for Education and Engaged Learning is proud to announce a new collaborative partnership with the New Jersey Hall of Fame (NJHOF), establishing a shared commitment to expanding innovative, research-informed learning opportunities for educators, students, and communities throughout New Jersey.

The partnership brings together the New Jersey Hall of Fame's rich collection of inductee stories, immersive museum experiences, and statewide educational initiatives with the ADP Center's expertise in learning sciences, instructional design, and educator professional development. Together, the organizations will develop high-quality educational programming that connects New Jersey's legacy of innovation, leadership, and civic engagement with today's classrooms.

Grounded in the New Jersey Student Learning Standards and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) frameworks, the collaboration will support educators through professional learning experiences while creating opportunities to explore identity, civic leadership, media literacy, and storytelling through the lens of New Jersey's changemakers.

For Montclair State University's College of Education and Engaged Learning, the partnership represents a meaningful extension of its mission to prepare educators through scholarship, collaboration, and community engagement. Beyond professional development, the collaboration creates opportunities for faculty expertise to inform educational resources, supports experiential learning opportunities for students, and strengthens connections between higher education, K–12 schools, and cultural institutions across New Jersey.

Launching this fall, the partnership's inaugural educator workshop series offers the first opportunity for educators to engage with the collaboration:

• October 23: The Changemaker in the Classroom: Media, Voice, and Civic Impact Through NJ Stories
• November 16: Media, Identity, and Voice: From Radio Waves to Reels
• December 7: Civic Leadership and SEL: Lessons from NJ Changemakers

These workshops represent the first phase of a broader collaboration that will continue to expand professional learning opportunities, develop innovative educational resources, and foster meaningful connections between New Jersey's cultural heritage and classroom learning. Together, the ADP Center and the New Jersey Hall of Fame are building a lasting partnership that empowers educators, enriches student learning, and celebrates the stories that continue to shape New Jersey.
