Dr. Elizabeth Chan Receives the Thomas E. Brown Pioneer Award

Dr. Elizabeth Chan recently received the Thomas E. Brown Pioneer Award from CHADD that recognizes researchers new to the ADHD field who are making contributions to the understanding of ADHD.

Chan is an assistant professor of psychology and a licensed psychologist. She earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Florida State University. She completed her clinical internship at Johns Hopkins Medicine/Kennedy Krieger Institute, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Rutgers University, where she also served as the inaugural director of an emerging adult ADHD clinic. Dr. Chan's research explores how strength-based approaches can promote positive outcomes for individuals with ADHD, with a particular focus on the transition from school to work. Her work investigates career development, executive functioning, person–work fit, and workplace contextual factors to inform evidence-based interventions that support employment success and quality of life. She also seeks to improve access to and continuity of ADHD care by advancing understanding of late diagnosis and evaluating innovative models of care.
