"Cooking with Koppell" returns for Homecoming with NJ PBS anchor Rob Nelson, joining President Koppell on stage to prepare a meaningful recipe in front of a live audience. Before the tailgate starts, follow your nose to CCOM's Presentation Hall and get to know Rob Nelson beyond the newsroom, live on "Cooking with Koppell."

For this special Homecoming episode, President Koppell welcomes the NJ PBS anchor to the stage to prepare a recipe meaningful to him, in front of a live audience in Presentation Hall. It's a chance to see the anchor off air, trading the anchor desk for a stovetop.

"Cooking with Koppell" has built a strong following by turning food into a doorway to conversation. Each episode invites a member of the Montclair Red Hawk community on stage to prepare a homemade dish that reflects their culture, family traditions and/or personal journey. Through the cooking and the conversation that follows, Koppell draws out the stories behind the food: where people come from, what shaped them and how those journeys have helped build a diverse, inclusive and vibrant university community.

In keeping with Montclair's commitment to "engaging students in the classroom and beyond through hands-on experiences," CCOM students are involved in the entire operation of the series, including research, show concepts, pre-production work, creating sets and post-production editing and graphics. Students will also run the operation during this speical episode.
