New Jersey’s 44th Annual Law School Day

Are you thinking about applying to law school? If so, join us for our 44th Annual NJ Law School Day at Montclair State University! 

All NJ college students and alumni who are interested in applying to law school are welcome to attend. At NJ Law School Day, you can speak with law school representatives from NJ, NY, and across the U.S. about what their programs have to offer and how you can prepare to be a strong law school candidate. 

Date: Wednesday, October 14, 2026 

Time: 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. 

Location: Montclair State University, University Hall, 7th Floor Conference Center 

All NJ college students and alumni are welcome to attend! 

What to Expect from Law School Day

1 - 2 p.m. - Law School Panel Discussion 

• For this session, you will hear from a panel of law school representatives about what they look for when reviewing law school applications and how to become a strong law school candidate. 

2 - 4 p.m. - The Law School Fair 

• This is your chance to meet face-to- face with law school representatives from NJ, NY, PA, MA and across the U.S., and ask questions about applying to law school!  
• The list of law schools attending is growing! Current law schools attending include: American, Fordham, Villanova, Ohio State, Seton Hall, Rutgers, Drexel, Penn State, Pace, Syracuse, Cardozo, Utah, Maryland, West Virginia, Richmond, Pittsburgh, and many, many more. 
• You can see the full list of law schools attending once you RSVP for NJ Law School Day on Handshake 

3:30 - 4:30 p.m. - Speed Mentoring: Pathways to Public Service 

• After learning what it takes to get into law school, stick around to connect directly with professionals who are doing the work.
• Through fast-paced, small-group rotating conversations, you’ll discover real-world career paths, and get honest insights into public interest and public service work. Come listen, ask questions, grab a snack, and make connections that can kickstart your legal, public interest, or public service career. 

How to Be Prepared for Law School Day

• Be ready to share information about you, your interests, and your goals! 
• Write down the questions you have about law schools and the process of applying to law school 
• Bring something to take notes 
• Dress to impress! Business attire is recommended
