AI is rapidly changing the tools available to educators, but many teachers haven't had structured time to learn how to use it confidently or responsibly. 

This workshop provides a clear, practical entry point into AI-supported lesson design. You'll learn what AI can do, where it falls short, and how to use it in ways that strengthen--rather then replace--your professional expertise.

You'll work with real classroom examples and explore how AI can support creativity, inquiry, and sense-making. The focus is on developing stronger STEM instruction through thoughtful, guided use of generative AI.  

You’ll leave with:

  • Confidence working with generative AI

  • Prompt-engineering skills that produce useful, accurate results

  • Free or low-cost AI tools for teaching

  • AI-generated phenomena, activities, explanations, assessments, and differentiated materials

  • Stronger lessons built through inquiry, creativity, and sense-making 

  • Alignment with NGSS and NJSLS-S/NJSLS-M

  • A ready-to-teach, AI-enhanced, standards-aligned lesson

 
This hands‑on, supportive workshop gives you time to experiment with AI, ask questions, and build usable classroom materials. You’ll work directly with your own lessons or topics, try out new ideas in real time, and get guided practice using AI tools effectively. It’s designed for beginner‑to‑intermediate users, with no specialized tech experience required.

Eligibility:  This workshop is Designed for K-12 science and math teachers, instructional STEM coaches, and curriculum leaders.
