Biography

Zabdi Medel, MA, is the Senior Coordinator for Community College Programs for the Office of the Provost. His responsibilities include coordinating academic aspects with community colleges, forming new partnerships, articulation agreements, and transfer opportunities. His commitment to student leadership is further demonstrated by his role as an advisor for the Latin American Student Organization (LASO).

Mr. Medel's academic journey is marked by his dedication to education and transfer student success. He earned his associate's degree from Brookdale Community College. Then he transferred to Montclair State University, where he completed his bachelor's degree and master’s in Educational Leadership with a concentration in higher education. Since 2017, he has demonstrated adaptability by holding numerous roles in enrollment management, student affairs, academic advisement, student involvement, and academic affairs.
