Yunsen Wang

Biography

Dr. Yunsen Wang is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Montclair State University. He holds a Ph.D. in Accounting Information Systems from Rutgers University. Dr. Wang’s research explores artificial intelligence, deep learning, process mining, blockchain, and robotic process automation (RPA) in auditing, fraud detection, and corporate disclosure analytics. His work appears in leading journals such as Accounting Horizons, Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Emerging Technologies in Accounting, Journal of Forensic Accounting Research, and Finance Research Letters. He also serves as an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Disclosure and Governance.

Dr. Wang teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Accounting Information Systems, Advanced Accounting Information Systems, Advanced Auditing, and Financial Statement Analysis. His scholarly, educational, and professional contributions have been recognized with the Editor of Distinction—Editorial Contribution Award from Springer Nature (2026), Outstanding Service recognition as Paper Co-Chair of the AAA 2026 Forensic Accounting Section Research Conference, the Bright Idea Award (2021), the SWUFE Outstanding Educator Award (2020), First Prize in SWUFE’s Excellence in Teaching Award Competition (2019), and the AAA Strategic and Emerging Technologies Best Paper Award (2017).
